Hi, I'm Vicki,
I completed my training as a professional celebrant with the International College of Professional Celebrants at a week long, very intense residential course, held at their college in the Yorkshire Dales, in the middle of some stunning countryside.  The course allowed me to fully immerse myself in learning the process of celebrancy as well as developing my creative skills to enable me to create bespoke, personal and meaningful ceremonies for the precious moments in people's lives.

I am a mother to two amazing grown up sons who I am immensely proud of.  I am also truly fortunate to be 'Nanny' to four beautiful grandchildren.  I live in Derby in the East Midlands with my husband.  Having moved around the country a fair bit during my lifetime, I have now made Derby my home, and cannot imagine living anywhere else.  The close proximity of Derby to the beautiful scenery and pretty towns and villages of the Peak District is one of the reasons I want to stay here; we spend a lot of time there, my husband and myself even got married at the Fishpond pub in Matlock Bath!

I have worked for nearly 30 years for various charities (both national and local) providing support to a wide range of people and communities.  I have gained a lot of skills, knowledge and experience from my previous career that I can bring to my celebrancy work.

I am a 'people' person - I love talking to people, hearing their stories and working together to achieve the best result possible, based on what is important to them.  

I have been described as warm, empathetic, easy to connect with and sincere.  I pride myself on my ability to put people at ease and encourage them to talk, sometimes on difficult subjects.
