Memorial Ceremonies, Ash Interment
or Scattering

"When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure" Unknown

Memorial Ceremonies

Also called a 'Celebration of Life', this ceremony will celebrate the life of your loved one, honour the life they lived and the impact they had on others.   It is less formal than a funeral and can be held somewhere that holds special meaning and memories about your loved one for you, your family and friends.

A Memorial Ceremony can be held if your loved one has opted for a direct cremation. It gives you the chance to gather together as family and friends to share memories and say goodbye in your own special way.

A Memorial Ceremony can also be held after a private, family cremation.  Your loved one's funeral can then be a more intimate, family affair and the Memorial Ceremony is the opportunity for wider friends, colleagues and    acquaintances to join you to celebrate your loved one's life and to share their memories of your very special person.

Ash Interment

Ash interment means putting your loved one's ashes into a permanent resting place, usually burying them in a plot at a cemetary, this gives you permanent    memorial site that you can visit whenever you want.  You can have a separate   ceremony with readings, eulogies or anything else you would like.

An ash interment gives you, your family and friends the opportunity to gather    together to celebrate the life of your loved one and to share their memories.  An ash interment can be held after a direct cremation, at a time and place to suit you.

Ash Scattering

Ash scattering is a ceremony that takes place after a funeral or direct     cremation.  Your loved one's ashes are released into the air, over water or land.  Scattering your loved one's ashes can symbolise returning to nature, freedom from physical constraints and can give closure to you, your family and friends.  Ash scattering can be performed almost anywhere (you will need permission from the landowner) and is often at a location that holds special memories for your loved one, you and your family.
